gabbybaby® was born out of the sheer amazement for the crazy and otherwise socially unacceptable things people do and say to someone with a new baby. While new parents would appreciate extra consideration for their sleep deprivation, instead they are often bombarded by strangers who grab their “oh so cute” baby by the hands (right before he sticks them in his mouth), followed by a slew of child-raising advice that was never solicited. On behalf of babies and parents everywhere, gabbybaby t’s & onesies speak to these “offenders,” offering the perfect way to politely, but firmly, ask people to mind their own business.

A
new mom, Gabby Brennan, collected all of
the ridiculous stories she heard from her “new mom” friends and gave
the babies (and parents) a voice through an expressive infant’s t-shirt: “please
resist the urge to give advice, my parents are doing a great job, thank you.” With
the help of her husband Kevin’s great sense of humor, “Please don’t
stare at my lunch” and “I’d love a sandwich” were added
to the mix, followed by many more.
gabbybaby apparel’s
humorous, direct and loving messages invite parents to share
their “intruder” stories, while reminding the
in-law /aunt /uncle /friend of a friend/ neighbor/stranger/dry
cleaner / colleague/colleague of husband or wife/former high
school classmate or postman, that mom and/or dad are doing
a great job, and will continue to do so, with or without
their unsolicited
advice.
While gabbybaby stands up for new parents and all they must deal with,
so does it realize that, as parents, we are truly blessed. In honor of moms,
dads and babies everywhere, a portion of the proceeds from gabbybaby apparel
will go to various charities that support new parents in need.
